I don’t see the world around me as flat, never take in what is merely on the surface. My imagination is constantly churning out new landscapes, new scenarios, new characters, new worlds. They can be additions to a pre-existing book or television show or comic, daydreams about the reality I live in, or imaginings of something entirely new. I have learned to see the world through words, and writing allows me to create and live and simply feel whole.

To me, writing is a form of therapy; it is a form of actively daydreaming. It is a way to transport myself to somewhere new within my mind that holds no boundaries save for those I enact.

I hope to inspire you through the writing and visual representations of my novels, as well as encourage you to explore your own voice and imagination. If you want to write, write. Translate the world around you and what you see in your mind into details, characters, stories, layers of complexity, and words will follow. Your words will express your ideas and dreams and inspiration in the most genuine form of you provided that you listen;  listen to what your heart feels, to what your mind creates and to what your story tells you in return. Because stories have a personality of their own: they’re fickle, they like to change and take you places you never expected to go. Don’t resist, don’t be stubborn in maintaining the original idea because writing should evolve, it should change. Keep an open mind and you may be pleasantly surprised where your story takes you.

My love of writing manifested in elementary school. With any creative writing assignment or activity, my littler self would churn out pages and pages more than whatever the requirement was set to. Thus, in the eighth grade, I decided, very definitively, that I wanted to write a novel. It was a werewolf falling in love with a vampire story that took off before sharply crashing as I realized the inadequacy of my own skills. It wasn’t until my freshman year of college that I became inspired to look at the structures of the world and really develop and give depth to the characters and write The Executioner.

I am a writer. A worldbuilder. An artist. A creator. Writing, drawing, worldbuilding, all are things I love to do, processes that help to define and enhance my life with an endless possibility for creation.

About

Go and write. Create something that you love ; write that story that’s been swimming in the back of your mind. Put that half-forgotten dream into words. Listen to the music of the world and express what it means to you. Because there is no one else who can write your story.
